DATA SOURCES
This dashboard is built on publicly available data from established international sources.
We do not manually edit individual records. We aggregate and display what is provided.
Billionaire Data
Source: Forbes Real-Time Billionaires (via RapidAPI)
The dashboard retrieves structured data from the Forbes real-time billionaire dataset.
The data includes:
- Name
- Rank
- Estimated net worth (USD)
- Previous net worth
- Country
- Gender
- Age
- Reported source of wealth
Net worth figures are estimates provided by the source and may fluctuate during trading hours.
The dashboard performs aggregation only (counts, grouping, totals).
No manual adjustments or reclassifications are made.
Global Population Data
Source: World Bank — World Development Indicators
Indicator: SP.POP.TOTL (World Total)
Population data is used as a global reference point for contextual comparison.
If the World Bank API is temporarily unavailable, the dashboard retains the last verified population value until a successful refresh occurs.
Update Schedule
- Billionaire dataset refresh: Daily (03:00 server time)
- Population dataset refresh: Daily
- The timestamp displayed on the dashboard reflects the last successful update.
If a refresh attempt fails, the previous verified dataset remains active.
How We Handle the Data
- All wealth figures are displayed in USD.
- Aggregations (gender, age ranges, country, industry) are derived directly from source fields.
- Industry categories reflect the reported “source of wealth” label.
- The system does not calculate political or moral interpretations of the data.
This page describes where the data comes from.
Methodology and governance details are available separately.
Independence
Zer0 Billionaires is an independent project.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to:
- Forbes
- The World Bank
- RapidAPI
- Any billionaire listed in the dataset
All data is retrieved from publicly available sources and displayed for informational purposes.
